PF Spotlight: Love or Aldridge?

http://www.courtsideblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Slide1.jpgPF Spotlight: Love or Aldridge?

Before you all jump on Kevin Love’s side here, I really don’t think it is that straight forward. LaMarcus Aldridge is playing on one of the deepest rosters in the NBA (yes Portland are stacked!) so to put up these numbers is commendable in itself. What he does better than Love is create his own shot: He causes huge match up problems being able to score with his back to the basket, has a face up game and a deadly mid range jumper. Don’t get me wrong, Love is a stud and adding the 3-pt to his game has really elevated him, just feel LA doesn’t get much of a look in as one of the best PF’s in the league which is certainly is without question.

I think that Love does get the nod due to his numbers and also having to carry his team where LA doesn’t need to but it will be interesting to see how this match up looks later down the road, especially if Portland get it right and stay healthy – turns them into a  very very dangerous team come Playoff time!

Love all day every day.The numbers speak for themselves. Could be more efficient from the field but I believe he forces some shots as he feels at times it beats the alternative of passing to someone like Beasley.

I am a huge fan of both Love and LA – I get why people would choose Love but you can’t deny how good Aldridge is. I really do want to re visit this comparison come Playoff time. Out of interest: Do you think Love is the best PF in the league right now?
